GTG IN EAST TENNESSEE

MichaelVee and Idervish and myself would like to know how many members here on TB would like to have a GTG in East Tennessee? Myself and Idervish are in the Johnson City area and MichaelVee is in Knoxville.. It would be great to have members from the S.W. Va. area, S.E. Ky area and Western N.C. area to join in if they would like. We feel that this would be a great experience for all of us and would truly look forward to such endevor. Please respond if you are interested!

Hey Randy! You beat me to it.. thanks for making the first post.

Randy and I have exchanged a couple of PMs about doing an east Tenn-based GTG. We would open this up to north GA, west NC, SE VA, and really, whoever else wanted to make the trip here.

This would be a pretty unique gathering of Talkbassers; also a first time for this area. I think the closest ones have been the mid-Tenn GTG in Murfreesboro, and the Atlanta ones.

This is still very much in the infant stages. We don't have a meeting place set yet, or a time frame. I think we're going to try to pull it off before Thanksgiving, so it might be that early November would work. Saturday, Nov. 3 or Sat. Nov. 17 would both work for me.

Anybody interested, located in this general region or not, is welcome to post here and give us your thoughts.

Ok.. as it stands right now.. Tom Bettini says that he will be comming.. Yeah!

Now on to other subjects.. Larry says that he has a great grill to cook on.. so we need to decide what kinda food we want to cook on it.. are we all going to pitch in a get something from the store? Or will everyone bring what they want to eat.. Also.. what kind of beverage do we want.. I myself is kinda looking forward to some Bass Ale!

Sean,

I am trying to cook up a place with the landlord.. he owns about half of the town.. lol.. if that don't work.. we are also talking to the guy that owns all the suites where our local music store hang out is.. he has two of them empty.. we may be able to use one of them.. and then if nothing else.. we will do it at my place.. I will just have to move some furnature around.. no big deal!

Rock on, sounds like there will be room enough for me to bring my new rig up then. It's not like it's that big...but I didn't want to get in the way of other folks cool rigs.

(P.S. it's Shawn...but most of my friends just call me Sno)
