I use D'Addario ETB92 Nylon Tapewounds, (.50, .65, .85, .105), on both of my Fender Jazzes. Fretless, and Fretted Jazzes with no issues.

Just for the record...

The gauges can be written as "45-65-85-105", or if you want to use the decimal point, ".045, .065, .085, .105", but NOT ".45, .65, .85, .105".

A string that's 45/100 of an inch in thickness would be way too big for your bass.

On my MM Sterling and Warwick Fortress 1, 45-100, on my Warwick Corvette Standard, 45-105. They just seem to work well strung up that way.

I like them all for various reasons. Right now though, the Black Nylons and Pedulla's are on the shelf. The rest are being used.

This may be a retread question, if so sorry for rehash.

What guage string do you use on your main bass? I started getting picku in 1990 when I got my first Alembic Series I and started using 40-60-80-100 guage strings. For 27 years thats my guage. Prior to that what ever guage the music store had in stock.

***For what its worth, DR are my favorite brand of strings

I use medium gauges. Usually 50 G to 105 E. But I'm thinking of switching the E to 100. But, I like meatier bottom strings, so I buy the bigger guage.

I voted 50-110 cuz it was close enough to the 55-110s that come in the EB Cobalt rounds.

If the cobalts had a G in a 60 I'd use that
