I've been listening to the new Bill Laurance album (feat. Mike League) and I need to know what effects he could be using from 2m35 to 4m15 in the song The Rush. I'm so inspired by his bass tones and mix of effects!!
Definitely something like an OC-2 with a bit of grit after it, into a filter. Also he has a Moog sitting in front of him that his is using rather than his bass when he first comes in.
In this interview (near the end), Michael lists the effects he uses, including two different octavers; the MXR bass octave deluxe, and the EHX POG family. Based on the sound, I'd say he's probably using the MXR, and maybe some other effects.
I have a Sub-T with which I can nail the sounds of the first part at 2:35. It's from 3m10 that I'm less sure of what he's using. Could he be adding a phaser? In the interview he says he's using a phaser so...
