My earlier post edited to reflect the living. This is Warren Vache Jr the trumpet player. Still alive!
Warren Vache the trumpet player is still very much alive, as shown by my recording which was done on Thursday!
Superflexible solos with an Innovation Braided G string. There's something very attractive about the attack/decay that makes me think of guts. I gave up on guts because I couldn't amplify them satisfactorily, so I'm guessing a pickup I haven't used. Wilson or Stat B.
Uhh, now it is getting VERY interesting! I was recommended Thomastik Spirocore Solos a lot but did not dare to try it yet. What made you chose the Superflexibles? Are you playing a 4/4 bass, because mine is 3/4 and I could only find these strings in 4/4. Did you consider the Spiro Solos as well and decided for the Superflexibles?Superflexible solos with an Innovation Braided G string.
7/8th Juzek with an almost 43 inch string length, so regular strings can feel tight on this bass. Solos feel normal. The Superflexibles have a slightly mellower, more burnished tone than the Spiro solos.Uhh, now it is getting VERY interesting!
