Guide track bleed into mine on Cubase using Focusrite Scarlett Solo

Hi all
I`m doing some recordings on Cubase 5 using my Focusrite Scarlett Solo.
I plug my bass straight into the unit using the instrument option.
After doing my tracks I noticed the guide track with vox, guitar and drums bled into my take after exporting the mixdown ( bass only - guide deleted before export )
( I export the track as mono )
The bleed is very faint, but present, especially with headphones on. It gets worse when I push up my EQ. from 4k up to 20k in the cubase mixer..
I tracked some of the song with headphones and some of it with my speakers and at different volumes ( depending on time of day and my ears ) with the same results.

Any help will be appreciated
Regards
AJ

Wow that is weird. No sends, inserts, or aux involved? You said the guide was noticeable in the export only? Did you solo the bass track after it was recorded to see if you could hear the guide? Before the mixdown export?
