Pilot Pro 5 fretless with flats.
Snagged my first Pilot! Picked up the blue refinished one from the TB classifieds.
Seems to be all original except for the refinish (which isn’t a great refinish) but price was right and it’s a player not a museum piece.
Appears to be an ‘87 from the serial number. Logo seems closer to the top of the headstock than others but the headstocks on these pilots are all over the place from my research.
What a lightweight comfortable bass. This weekend it will get a spa day with new strings, a thorough cleaning, adjustments to the string spacing and intonation, and pickup height tweaking.

Congratulations with your first Pilot...! Do yourself a favor and spend a few bucks on a decent refin if the one it has already been subject to is noticeably sub-par - save your bass...![]()
