Guild Pilot bass club?

I hope they are strung with flats.

You are quite an artist.

Oh, sorry guys - just to clarify, I did NOT build these miniatures...!!!

A gentleman in Brasil named Washington built them for me - from fotos I sent him...It took him only just under 2 weeks from my order to completion - they are now in the post and on their way to me...
He did som BCR's for a good friend of mine and that's how I came to hear about him...He's on FB, look him up and scroll down his page - I'm sure you'll be quite impressed...
If you want something made for yourself, I can only warmly recommend him...

When they arrive, I'll share more fotos of them together with the originals...:)

Snagged my first Pilot! Picked up the blue refinished one from the TB classifieds.
Seems to be all original except for the refinish (which isn’t a great refinish) but price was right and it’s a player not a museum piece.

Appears to be an ‘87 from the serial number. Logo seems closer to the top of the headstock than others but the headstocks on these pilots are all over the place from my research.

What a lightweight comfortable bass. This weekend it will get a spa day with new strings, a thorough cleaning, adjustments to the string spacing and intonation, and pickup height tweaking.

Congratulations with your first Pilot...! Do yourself a favor and spend a few bucks on a decent refin if the one it has already been subject to is noticeably sub-par - save your bass...

but then I'd have to decide on a color and that may take me years....

Pro Tip: "New Copper Penny" ;)

...and find someone I trust to do a good job. Never had a bass refinished before!

Investigate the possiblities in and around the area where you live - ask people on here for experiences & references...Pop by your possible choices for a chat and go with who your gut first/wallet second tells you...

Interestingly enough I have a custom medium scale Jazz V in that color in the queue that should come my way in a year or so...
