Guilty Pleasures Thread

I like Abba. Good music is good music, no matter how cheesy it may be.

And I'm a metal head :D

First of all, you are not a metalhead. I am officially de-metalling your head. No you may not have it back. As stated in the 3rd metalhead commandment: Thou shalt not enjoy ABBA. Thank you and good day.

Twilight..i loathe everything about it yet it sucks me in..it's simultaneously repugnant and amusing...i've watched the first movie more than once....resisted the urge to watch any following ones..so far (eep)

I've been in the unfortunate position of having seen the first 2 of them. The 2nd is actually worse than the first. I actually saw #2 the same week as seeing Avatar 3D... words cannot describe how epically, extremely, profanely, murderously, utterly un-awesome, un-inspiring and underwhelming it is compared to said monkey movie.

I wish I could post, but I don't really have any guilty pleasures; too square of a gent.

Maroon 5? Does that count?

BY GOD, YES! :D

My own guilty pleasures?
Jagermeister
Old SEGA games
Mythbusters
:hiding:

I think your attendence alone invalidates your metal & man cards. You can turn them in at the front desk.

FWIW, ABBA > Twilight, big time.

If my attendance was voluntary, yes. But alas, I have a girlfriend, and as everyone knows, the funny creatures are constantly taking you to sucky movies, shops etc.

And in no way am I condoning watching Twighlight, but are vampires and wolf-men not more metal than 70s Swedish pop?

Almost everyone I know absolutely HATES that show; maybe because I'm old and hang around with other old people. :atoz: I'm glad to see I'm not the only one watching it. :)

I didnt find Daniel Tosh (its daniel, right?) all that funny before having seen his show. Then I saw one of the first episodes and thought 'Gee, this is a lot like Web Soup' (a spinoff of Talk Soup). Once I saw his web redemption skits I knew his show was infinitely better. Ive really grown to like the show, and Tosh as a comedian.

Get a new girlfriend. Mine wouldnt be caught dead watching those movies. Nor would she make me go see a movie I didnt want to.

In theory, yes. However, this is Twilight, and vampires & werewolves, let alone being way past cliche as they are, were not meant to sparkle.

Hey! I shall take it back by force if I must, haha!
Metal is my passion... but I'm also gay, so it would be illegal if I didn't like ABBA just a little bit :p

catching up on wipeout? I can fill you in on the plot: they get knocked into the water - haha :)

edit: LOL, I totally wrote that in the wrong thread! I better stop multitasking at work...
I meant Hall and Oats, Christopher Cross, and the Bachelor/Bachelorette (it's morbid curiosity, like watching a road wreck)
