My apologies
they hang EVERYTHING on the wall, unless it is fully paid for :/I put 100 down on a 200.00 bass that just came in one time. I had to wait a week to take possession to make
sure it wasn't stolen. I came in a week later with the rest of the money to get my bass and they had it hanging on the wall for sale! Fortunately nobody snagged it. I was surprised because it was a mint CV 60's Pbass in sonic blue! I had been waiting to snag one of those and would have been really pissed if they had sold it before I got there!
often the "service" inspires ME to lift a finger, (a particular one) as i leave yet again disappointedI treat GC like Walmart, I don't expect good service or product knowledge, so I'm never disappointed, and occasionally I am pleasantly surprised when some actually lifts a finger.
If they do they shouldn't. That means you put money down in good faith and they can sell it out from under you. Not a good retail practice.they hang EVERYTHING on the wall, unless it is fully paid for :/
Apparently it was the bassist from Bruno Mars, he brought 3 in and that was the only one left.
Me too!Finished reading thread. Still like GC.
have you ever been in the warehouse? your used bass (without a case of course) is safer hanging on the wall than it is in the "Horror Show" in back.If they do they shouldn't. That means you put money down in good faith and they can sell it out from under you. Not a good retail practice.
Seems to me we are better off with them than without them?Finished reading thread. Still like GC.
I have never wished a terminal disease upon anyone, but you just came close. There are still Guitar Centers?! They haven't died yet?! To me, they are like the kid from the Make A Wish foundation that beat his leukemia, but wants to go to Disneyland again.
no difference up here in the north shore danvers, Nashua Portsmouth bass section gone down hill nothing but fire woodGC is such a crapshoot, depends who's working there that month. Lousy service? Wait a month or two, they will all be gone, replaced by the next crop of fresh faces eager for low pay and no benefits. Welcome to McGuitars. My local GC (Braintree Mass) is ok, literally never seen the same employees twice though.

You can't have had much experience of builders and concrete guys then!I have never wished a terminal disease upon anyone, but you just came close.
True enough. You can't have had much experience of builders and concrete guys then!![]()

I agree with that point, but in my case no one was aware that my bass was sold to me and on hold. When I asked the guy what the bass I bought was doing on the wall he laughed and thought I was joking! I showed him the receipt and they had trouble finding the info on line. The apologized up and down about it! If I hadn't shown up that day my bass could have very well been sold to someone else. A couple other times I ordered used stuff and had it sent to the store for pick up. They sent me an email both times that it had arrived. I show up to pick it up and they spent over an hour both times trying to find it. But I still buy from them because they have some great deals all the time and the return policy they have is outstanding!have you ever been in the warehouse? your used bass (without a case of course) is safer hanging on the wall than it is in the "Horror Show" in back.
anything that is unboxed is in extreme jeopardy.
