I DO have a Sam Ash locally, but it's not really even got a proper bass section, last I checked in there.

Of course of those three only one is made in the US. The other two are made in China or Vietnam.
I prefer to buy the amps that are putting money back into the local economy. But then I live 50 miles from Mesa.
Heritage SVT is a ClassicTo be fair the post he was responding to didn't mention the heritage svt, but it did mention the svt classic. Also the post he was responding to made no mention of the b-15.
I think he was correct in his response to the amps mentioned.
my ampeg was built in the usa. i bought it in 1998.
orange is made in london, england.
I've seen Hodgy's vid assembling a "US made" amp from imported fully loaded circuitboards, if Mesa is up to that sort of carryon they are equally naughty.Excuse me, but Ampeg has an SVT and B-15 that are every bit as US built as any other amp out there.

Outfits like Reeves?
You'd be hard pressed to find an amp made nowadays that doesn't have Chinese parts in it, so whether the boards are made here or there seems a little nitpicky.

Mesa's factory tour on the Premier Guitar YouTube channel clearly documents their use of an in-house wave soldering machine for their boards.

It was only a proposition born by implication of the spurious claim that top of line Ampeg is as made in USA as anything else. I had a feeling Mesa were more into DIY, now confirmed.Who said Mesa was up to that?
Ampeg makes 2 amps in the USA, and one of them is nearly five grand.
Mesa makes all of them here (and it's quite the product line, ranging from $800 guitar amps to $2k monsters).
I'm not typically one to buy based on origins (price range and tone are my criteria) but if you're going to draw arbitrary distinctions, you might as well be consistent![]()
