I couldn't bear it so I ended up buying the 2x12 at 12:45 today. They had a 1x15 at the same price. I called the store because the last two things I've bought from their used site sold underneath me in the store. The sales guy confirmed it was there, in good shape, and 8 ohm. I asked him to set it aside for me because I'd already placed an order and he said he would.
I then got a call at 2:45 saying they sold it in store. Classic.
Classic case of GC screwing the pooch.
They screwed up pretty good for me in a similar fashion, and I always call the store before I make the order. It doesn't always help.

I think that you'd be doing better if you didn't post the ones that you buy online
Monster deal is saying it lightly....back when bassnw was around, I remember them selling a used one for $699.99 (or $799.99)....so for $399.99 someone made it out pretty good.

The weird part is that as soon as I buy it online, it shows that "This product is not longer available" message so I'm assuming I'm the first one to try to purchase it online. I guess folks are doing what I SHOULD be doing and just calling the store.

Not bad at all. Those MIJs aren't gonna get any cheaper. I'm fairly confident in saying I'm done buying basses for the foreseeable future but I'd be all over that otherwise. The fact that I haven't already put that one on a credit card makes me feel pretty good about my resolve.
