As a gainful employee of my local GC, I’m not taking offense to this- but my store’s employees are pretty knowledgable & decent enough. I’ve certainly been to other stores where I felt like the only person in the building who knew anything about instruments in general. So what? It is true, though, Guitar Center is garbage. The employees are terrible.
Same thing happened in my store with the better basses. I told one of the clerks exactly what I wanted to try out and he unlocked three basses for me.I wanted to play a Musicman stingray special . So i stopped into a guitar center in miami all musicman basses are locked on the wall . i just left !
Nope. I’d ask to see it. But at GC they are trained to read your mind and take the bass off the wall before you get out of the car. For that reason you stamp your foot and storm out.Why is this an issue? If you want to buy a $2k ring and the jewelry store keeps their rings locked in a glass cabinet, would you also be unhappy?
