Guitar guy looking to dabble

Music has always been a big deal. Had a guitar in my life for just about 30 years. The last several years I’ve noticed a trend of thinking these riffs I come up with would sound great on a bass. So… I’ve been looking to pick one up for quite some time. I’m about ready to make the plunge, so I figure the TB forum would be a good resource.

Just moved to the Dallas area a little more than a year ago, so that is where local will be for the time being.

Thanks in advance for the forum. Looking forward to finding my way around.

I had been set on a Fender Precision, but I came upon a local G&L L-1000 from ‘81. After researching a bit about it, I loved the history and I was super excited about it so I bought it. Unfortunately I’m having some issues with it. Fortunately though, my journey won’t stop there.
