Guitar players corner!

My Epiphone Les Paul Traditional Pro ll is seriously a bad boy. In Ocean Blue Three
Push pulls and active electronics. Nicest Tuning Machines I ever felt on any guitar. Alnico ll pickups.

Well I did a thing... Christmas / Birthday gift to myself.

I had pre-ordered a WAY over priced and out of budget Anniversary Ric guitar (4003 body style guitar), but it was a few months AFTER the year it was released in... so Ric canceled it.

I figured maybe not spending the money was for the best... then the other day while minding my own business the 'Internet Gods' fused my:
  1. love of old things like me
  2. my want for a fancy, set-neck, single cut kinda thing Gibson made famous
  3. my want for a fancy Super Strat with EMGs
  4. something with a locking tremolo
...into a singular Unicorn guitar made for just a couple wacky mid 80s years.

I bought a 1985 Guild BluesBird. Poplar body, set maple neck, ebony fingerboard, Strat scale length, 14" radius, Kahler trem, EMG Strat pickups (they are the Ceramic version, I'll be swapping for the Alnico version like DG uses), etc etc etc. Oh yeah, and the seller is throwing in a brand new Coffin case.
