Big improvement in aesthetics, I think. I'd probably swap the "treble/bass" (or is that rhythm/lead?) switch plate as well, along with the red pickup covers. But, To each, their own.
If you've got, or know someone with, a 3D printer. You may be able to "print" some pickup covers.Pick-up covers are tough, though, because if you get metal ones, you have to pot them (especially on "more affordable guitars with cheaper pick-ups).
