My collection of Ovation instruments.
My push button Ed Reynolds Strat and my G&L ASAT.
I had this photo out so I thought I'd share it here; my former April '98 360V64.

Yup. One of the reasons I'm taking these pics is that I'm gong through all my gear and making a list for insurance purposes. I must have close to 50k worth of gear, and I have very little info on it. So I wrote down serial numbers, model numbers, etc. Something I should have done years ago. I'm not looking forward to doing the amps...

Shell pink and pearloid. That’s dressed for the dance. Nice Strat.
Just put a new bridge & tailpiece on my LP copy (Black to match most of the other hardware.)
and then added back strings as well.
Turns out that I find black strings difficult to change--harder to see on a black headstock.
So who knows if I'll do that again.
But it looks cool.

Pick-up covers are tough, though, because if you get metal ones, you have to pot them (especially on "more affordable guitars with cheaper pick-ups).
If you've got, or know someone with, a 3D printer. You may be able to "print" some pickup covers.
Oh, you can get red pick-up covers, to be sure, but if you go with metal (which I would, on that guitar), you have to worry about the pick-ups getting very microphonic.

I have a black one on my LP, and I swapped it.
But I prefer the cream one here, as it blends into the top--the black one stands out too much.
So I have tried that one.
If I made a change it would be a washer instead of the poker chip--so nothing showing.
the bridge pickup is actually dark pink bobbins--but they do look red from some angles.
Seymour Duncan has a variety of bobbin colours you can custom order.
I didn't order that one--but somebody did through a local store & then didn't buy it.
The store couldn't sell it, and kept lowering the price until I came along.
Originally the plan was for black bobbins, but I couldn't pass up the price (It's a JB pickup)
I decided to go with it, and if I didn't like it I would get a black cover or something like that.
However once the guitar was all modded, I decided I liked it that way--it makes it stand out.
If I do make any changes I would get a black nut (The one on it is a Tusq nut) and machine heads.
However I also don't want to spend a ton of money on it.
So the nut is possible, but likely not the machine heads--unless I get some free or for a great price--I have also thought about getting back buttons for the machine heads--I saw ebony ones once--which would be cool, but they were way more than I wanted to spend.
this guitar also has black strap knobs, and a black metal jack plate--both non-original.
And black covers on the back (Which are original)
