i have been given a marshall 9000 guitar pre amp.would it be ok to use this for a bass rig?am thinking of running it with my qsc power amp into my mesa 2x15?is there any way i could damage my equipment?any feedback would be great,thanks.tim

No damage. Might not be voiced (eq) optimally for bass, but you won't hurt anything, so long as the pre's output voltage matches the poweramps input, you're good to go.
no inherent risks other than you may not like the tone. but by the same token, there are some amazing "sleeper" guitar preamps that people use as part of their bass rig that they would never part with. I think there were/are some threads on this forum or others on that topic
