Guitar to Bass

I am positive there are other posts about this, but in searching I haven't been able to find any.

Any recommendations for a technique book that isn't super duper basic, I don't need to be reminded of music theory or anything like that because I've been playing guitar for two decades, and bass for a while - just through the eyes of a guitar player. Basically, a good overview of bass specific techniques - slapping/popping, dead notes, right hand technique, developing a groove. Maybe a book of iconic/essential bass grooves that cover a wide set of techniques?

With a guitarist's knowledge of theory and harmony, the best thing you could probably do, is just use your ears.

Listen for the notes chosen underneath the rhythm guitarist and how the bass melds with the drums.

Listen carefully to isolated bass tracks, searching for dead notes, and how they add to the groove.

With the knowledge you already possess, all you need to do is apply it to a new instrument.

Plus 1,000 to tfer's answer. Plus I do not know of one book that has all you ask about. Ed Friedland's book Bass Grooves gives us many different grooves. I missed the whole point of the book the first time I read it as I was not ready for the book. Later I re-read the book and understood what Ed was getting at - rhythm dictates the style or put another way each style has a rhythm of it's own.

That old R-5-8-5-8 riff could be used for many styles, just by changing the rhythm or adding some new notes. For example; R-5-b7-5-b7-8. The groove comes from the rhythm that everyone playing "falls into". My first read focused only on the notes...

I think this book may come close to what you are wanting.
