You are correct about Marty Albertson. That is why I contacted him after working my way up the system. So is Ritchie Padanik the VP of their on-line business. They did me right.
To reiterate, my problem was with GuitarCenter.com not the retail store side. And the issue was not their CSRs. They were just following their processes. It was the system. Ritchie called me to inquire about what I had experienced. I noticed that the next day they posted a very visible banner on their website advising about delays. Any business can experience problems, expecially a start-up like their on-line business. It's how they handle their customers after an issue and in this case they did me right and I am very happy.
I buy a lot from the DFW area GCs. My experience overall has been pretty good. I find them to be just as good, or better, than the few remaining locally owned shops.
