Guitarist take over...

Lol Jesus I wrote on my phone cut me some slack peeps. Don't have anything nice to say don't say anything at all. I didn't post this to get advice on my grammar. So no play English teacher! I is smarts enough too!

I say let him fail publically (party gig, NOT a paid gig) and it will make him re-think the whole singing thing or he will shine. If your not giggin' right now, party/friend/open mics are a great way to evaluate your bands strengths and weaknesses.

+1 on the initial post. I thought you were from Russia. I love reading ignorance from time to time. It's good for the soul.

Where to start? Firstly, I think TRichardsbass has covered why there is an issue with your English. It makes communicating the precise problems you are having very difficult, and because of that, will lessen the ability of others to respond with the most useful advice they can.

Now, to paraphrase you, your posts are scrappy and littered with mistakes because you rushed them. If you really feel like you are "desperate for answers", why not take the extra couple of seconds required to make your posts clear and succinct?

I actually find it quite rude that you would post up an almost indecipherable mess, expecting other people to give you advice.

When you were told that some of the guys were having trouble comprehending your writing, (and even this was done with the intention of helping you get more advice, by helping you make your question more clear), you respond with a pissy comment about how no one is helping you?

When you won't take an extra thirty seconds to make sure your question is clear, why should anyone else take some of their own precious time to help you? You were lucky, some of the guys in here decided to help you anyway, and you still come back with a pissy response?

Some people just can't be helped.

Thanks for the backing. That was my point, however I let my personal pet peeve fly out.

As for Death guy, no need to send me your papers to review. Go purchase a copy of "The Elements of Style" by Strunk and White, also referred lovingly to as just "Strunk and White."

If that doesn't do it for you, also order a copy of "Adios Strunk and White" by Gary and Glynnis Hoffman. It is more of a text book and is NOT meant to replace Strunk and White but be a supplement to it, or for Strunk and White to be a supplement to it. It should reinvigorate your love of the English language and explain its importance and relevance.

I personally give Strunk and White as random acts of English to people and students I come across who don't understand that words are important, and how you use and speak them are also important.

Remember the line from "My Cousin Vinny?" What and how the kid said "I killed him?" when he gave his statement and what was written and read were the same words but took on a whole different meaning when the sherriff read them in court.

We all here genuinely care and like to help anyone who needs some advice. It definitely helps us if it is clear for us to understand.

Sry being a typical 17 year old I stopped caring. Please act thine age! I want suggestions! I don't need this did I ask? When did occur to you that I did? Or was this for self gain in some odd way? Not immediately noticeable but your all smart enough to understand.

Music, please, just music.
I don't need your opinions on how important English is to music or bass playing or lazzyness.
So for the love of ****ing GOD! Help if not go and start a grammar police thread and leave me be.

Or be nice and help.
Though from what I read many don't have much beyond your ego and the computer screen.
Less you prove me otherwise!

And you! Don't copy and paste this and make funny remarks! Do something more important! Yay
Thanks

You didn't read my post at all then? If you want help, structure your posts in a way people with the experience you want don't need to spend an hour and a half deciphering what you've written.

Remember, you're the one asking for advice. No one here owes you any favours and you won't gain much with that p*ssy, childish attitude.

You apologised for it and then immediately went back to doing the very same thing.

If you re-write your original post in a coherent manner, I'll quite happily advise you to the best of my ability. I'm sure some of the older guys with a lot of experience on here, who mightn't be so used to "txt spk" will be more willing to help then too.

Cool?

Well the guitarist situation is officially taken care of.

I just need some advice about singers.

Were going to try out 3 new singers. And we would like to know some good qualities. Or some do or donts? Look out for what kind of personality?

Beyond the basics of course charismatic, outgoing, good, and commited.

Insight? Please and thank you.

Singer shd be abel to song wile hold onto mike lol. Its good if he rememorizes word lyrics two. He look and make u silly if he read paper on stage wile play show. Most importantantally, he needs to have good parts, exspeshally should go with shirt and shoes good. Apearants is very importent.

If he good at that, make sure he not doosh. Because not playing, he shd bring weed enough for hole band.

Writing and communication is becoming a lost art.

A large part of the issues many people have posted here on this forum are directly related to the inability to communicate clearly, directly, succinctly and with the proper tone and intention in their individual and band situations.

If you can actually understand what this young man (I'm assuming based on the style of the post) is actually saying then I'm impressed. My guess is that the lead guitarist in his band may not actually understand what they are telling or showing him as they probably cannot communicate it properly.

Music is a universal language. While it has many styles and genres, when you place them on paper they are communicated correctly and everyone can understand them. Being in a band doesn't have a universal language. So they way you communicate becomes very important to your bands success and how well you get along.

Well said. Too many people cannot spell properly or put together sentences which are grammatically correct. It drives me crazy.

I had a hard time following his post as well.
