I usually respond by puffing out my chest, unbuttoning my shirt and saying " You may now stroke the luxurious pelt that is my chest hair".

Guys how do you respond to being called " Babe " ?

I giggle because it's usually women that are my age, 36, or older and think because of my long hair and decent shape that I am in my 20's, and they think they are talking down to me by calling me babe or honey.
There's this lady that works at a convenience store/gas station that is on the way to our land in the country who, in stereotypically southern fashion, constantly peppers anything she says to you with "Suger" "honey" "sweetie" etc... I have to try real hard not to laugh when I stop there.

If anyone calls me babe, they MUST be on drugs or escaped from a hospital. There is absolutely nothing 'babe'ly about me. I would never EVER come across as a 'babe' in any form. So there must be foul play involved, for anyone to call me that.
If a woman said that to me, I would check her crotch, Crocodile Dundee style, to make sure she's not a man trying to assassinate me.

I used to frequent the horse track. The old timers there called everyone "babe" regardless of gender.
