H9 hot knob broke

I think I've had this thing about a year and the hot knob in the middle has completely sunk in or is stuck. Spent some time trying to pull it back up but no good. Pedal still works but it's annoying for sure.
Thought I'd just throw it out there and see if anyone else has had this issue. Damn expensive pedal to have it break like that, going to email eventide and see what they can tell me about repair

This is the first time I've heard of one breaking. Honestly I virtually never use the controls on the pedal itself, I set everything with the app and only needed to scroll through presets after that.

Eventide fixed my second-hand, out-of-warranty Pitchfactor for the cost of one-way shipping to them. So I would at least talk to them about it, I think their customer service has been pretty good on the whole.

FIXED!
Pretty pleased with the customer service. Got back to me lightning quick and did some quick troubleshooting and even sent pics with the steps to solve the problem.
That big black button in the middle like sunk down into the pedal. Looked like someone smashed it in to me but apparently it was just a loose nut inside. Followed the steps and it's good as new.
Here's what Eventide sent me just in case anyone else encounters this in the future.

Ok. Does the encoder knob make the "popping" sound when pushed? If not, then there could be an issue with the nut underneath that holds it in place. It must have moved down and is now preventing the knob from being pressed down.

Please follow the below steps and let me know if it fixes the problem. I also attached some pictures.



· If you look at the encoder, there is a cap on top, the inner most circle, which you should be able to gently pop out with a pick or similar type of tool.

· You should now see the nut. Gently loosen the nut

· Lift the encoder knob at the sides and make the nut level with the top of the shaft.

· Then tighten the nut without the letting the sides drop down.

· It’s important that the nut is level with the top of the shaft. That will allow it to have the push function and to make the popping noise.

Well, he can give the details but the short version is that he had a problem with the Max Out program and some ambiguous Eventide policies.

Yea it's a long story that turned out OKish, but it's annoying to say the least. Good products, crap service in some regards IMO. But they do work with me, so I can't say it's horrible. Each time a new algo comes out, I get it, so long as I emails. Rolls eyes...
