Tattoo artist Ryan Fitzgerald from Dayton, OH was hit with a $100,000 lawsuit last week by his ex-girlfriend Rossie Brovent. She claims that her boyfriend was supposed to tattoo a scene from Narnia on her back but instead tattooed an image of a pile of excrement with flies buzzing around it.

Apparently, Ryan found out that Rossie had cheated with a long-time friend of his, but instead of confronting her about it he acted like everything was normal and hatched a plan for revenge. Originally, Rossie tried to have Ryan charged with assault, but the ingenious tattoo artist had covered his bases by plying Rossie with wine and tequila shots and getting her to sign a consent form that stated the design was “at the artist’s discretion.”

No word from Rossie on whether the illicit night of passion with Ryan’s friend was worth it. Moral of the story? Never cheat on a tattoo artist.

the ingenious tattoo artist had covered his bases by plying Rossie with wine and tequila shots and getting her to sign a consent form that stated the design was “at the artist’s discretion.

If this is provably true, he'll lose. Consent form/Contract is void.

Doing something illegal to get revenge for something that is legal is frowned upon by the courts.

I don't think he'll have the last laugh.

Sickening what people do to each other. Its a rather bad reaction to being cheated on, IMO, and it should be found that consent cannot be given while in an inebriated state. Tattoo artists should know better, and often turn away people who appear to be visibly intoxicated. If this is a known fact:
tattoo artist had covered his bases by plying Rossie with wine and tequila shots and getting her to sign a consent form that stated the design was at the artist’s discretion.
Then there could possibly be other charges brought against him along with the assault charge. Despite one's anger, you dont **** with someone's person in such a permanent manner.

He will probably lose in the court system, but its a win in real life. Especially because a consent form signed under intoxication considers it void.

Either way, I do not think it is "right" but I know what being cheated on can do to a person... Perhaps it I am just seeking justice vicariously.

One would have to be pretty messed up mentally to find some kind of joy in that. Im sure youre empathizing as someone who has been cheated on, and though we all know it sucks its not really something that is difficult to move on from. People can get over that. Permanently altering somebodies body by tattooing a steaming pile on their back isnt really one of those "oh, she'll get over it" kind of deals... it seems almost akin to being raped, IMO.

Why do you have to go making good points on a cynical day? Haha I suppose you are right, the actual deed of it being done is pretty cruel considering that chick will forever have to deal with that tattoo... But the overall idea of it still amuses me.

I'm with Papa....loss in real life, win in the game of life.

I would have never thought of it that way...but if you would, then that means other people would. Guess that makes me sort of a doosh...

Most of us have been cheated on. It sucks, but it's a temporary hurt.

On the other hand, if the story is true, he permanently disfigured her, either with a grotesque tattoo or with the scars she'll have after getting it removed.

I'll reinforce what Matticus said, it's sickening what people will do to one another.

A tattoo of Narnia would be better?

It would for the recipient, being that that was her request.

Cruel, yes. Not that it makes you cruel for finding it amusing.

No, I dont think youre a deuche. Its human nature to laugh at things that are inconsequential to ourselves without fully realizing the impact it can have on the people who actually have to suffer the consequences. Especially when one can empathize with the perpetrating party. Remember kids, an eye for an eye leaves the whole world blind.

You would've thought a "tattoo artist" would've drawn a more realistic poop.

Now that made me laugh! I hadnt seen the pic before, and now must go look...

In case anyone is not aware, the consent form is mandatory to get tattooed, its not just something he concocted as a one-off to cover his ass. The "at the discretion of the artist part" is also pretty standard.

However, if its documented that he was involved in the drinking then he's probably screwed. If there is no proof that he made her drink, she's probably screwed.

Either way this is F-ing hilarious!

Something similar happened to a "friend" about 20 years ago. He was a jerk to most of us, and he decided one night in a drunken stupor to ask the tattoo apprentice (who he treated like garbage) who lived in the apt complex to tattoo him. He wanted "A$$ Kicker" on his back by his shoulder.

Long story short, the jerk was wasted and kept making snide remarks and the apprentice got him good.. The guy left with "A$$ Kisser" on his back.
