Half rack tuner

Hey guys, I'm looking for a half rack size tuner so that I can save space in my rack case. Do any of you guys know a product that fits the bill? Is there someone that will custom make one one off that you guys know about? Thanks in advance.

I looked at the boss half rack at one point but they are discontinued and everyone who was selling one acted like it was made of gold. These days I use the tuner on my shure wireless for the band and a little handheld korg tuner for playing at home, checking tuning before we go on, and in the studio.

are you using any pedals? if so, the tuner belongs down there with the rest of them where you can see it without turning around and step on it to mute the sound while tuning.

if not, if this is a rack-only setup, then yeah, a whole rack space just for a tuner seems kinda silly, doesn't it? i don't know of any 1/2 or 1/3 rack tuners, maybe you could rig up a regular small tuner with velcro or dual lock or something to sit in the rack where you can see it.

I am trying to make this an all rack setup so that I can carry it all in one carry. Sadly, it seems that all the tuners that are rackmount are a full rack space.

I am hesitant to buy a tuner that is so old. I guess a part of me feels that a newer tuner with new technology will be faster and more accurate. Is my assumption generally correct?
being that they're digital, yep.

the old ones might be close enough, but the newer ones are likely faster to recognize the note and to track its tuning. i'm still thinking that a horizontal layout tuner like a korg DT-7 could be rigged up to fit in a rack "void" and do the job.

hell, if the rack happens to have any margin of space between the front panels of the gear in it and the front lid, and if any of the other rack pieces have areas on the front that you don't need to see (no lights or anything) then you could even rig up any kind of regular tuner to sit in that spot and do its work.
