You're missing the sporran, that usually takes care of the modesty thing while sitting (and you don't have cross your legs, I think crossing your legs under a kilt turns it into a skirt, FYI ).

Kilt chains will do the trick as well, at least in wind, and on my canvas one, the front panel has a bunch of band patches sewn to it, so it really needs neither anymore, at least in the wind.

Glad to see there is another TBer who wears a kilt on stage, I only knew of myself, and one other, and I can't remember who the other is anymore (and I'll probably forget the OP wears em later this afternoon, but at least I'll know we are three now!

I have discovered that it is not easy to play sitting on a stool while wearing a kilt. All I can say is I am thankful for two things:

1. The lower bout of my Jazz served as a fairly effective "modesty panel"
2. No up-lighting

I just wear my wife's moomoo around the house.

It's nearly the same as a kilt but it's easter blue and covered in flowers.
