They haven't been on Talkbass it looks like. I see some updates on Facebook though so you could try asking there.

I wouldn't be surprised if CITES is part of the problem here. They sort of took the nuclear option on Rosewood to save the endangered varieties.

I gave up trying to contact him on Facebook as I've learned from personal experience he doesn't like to answer messages. I didn't want to say it, but they definitely have customer service issues when it comes to keeping people updated and following through. The last time he's even mentioned the K series in public was in a comment on an unrelated fb post. No such emails were ever sent out. You have to stalk his page to stay somewhat informed. I sold my primary four-string to fund this purchase as I was due for an upgrade. I've been borrowing a bandmates four-string in the mean time for gigs, rehearsals, recording, and such so hopefully we don't have to wait too much longer. I'm placing my bet at late August/early September.

I have had nothing but stellar comms with Marko. I talk with him almost daily. I'd be willing to bet a lot of these set backs are out of his control. With that said, I'm in no hurry. Basses like this often experience set backs. In my experience, patience is not only a virtue, but a necessity.

The next time you speak with him, will you ask him to come in here and give an update? Any communication from him would be appreciated.

I will. He's a busy guy with many irons in many fires. I can understand your concern and I will pass the word along. I truly believe Marko is handling things and we'll all be a bunch of happy model K owners before we know it. :)
