Apparently (I was told later; I have no memory from that day) while I was lying on the operating room table twenty years ago having my face reconstructed after someone sleep-drove their car into mine, I kept telling the plastic surgeon that I would be okay with coming out looking like Marcello Mastroianni.

It didn't turn out that way. But I really would have been okay with it.

Hmm, candidates... well, how about most handsome US President ever? This is Franklin Pierce, the only president my little state ever produced. He was apparently completely useless as a head of government but they say he was considered one of the best-looking men of the time...
