Hannabach Nylon Strings for Classical Bass Guitar...

I see that Strings by Mail has a toll-free number, so I may give them a call for more specifics. On their site they have the set you link to and also a 660RL (86 cm) set. Two different item numbers, but the specifics indicate no difference between the string sets. Don't know what to make of that.
Yeah, I'd definitely call. FWIW:
-the 660RL link I found through Google gets redirected to the one I've provided above;
-on the page for the whole ensemble guitar series the 4CB-etc. is the only one shown with what I take to be the new package;
-I still have the packet of the set I've currently on the bass, bought a couple years ago, and it's indeed called 660R and looks like the pic on its page on the SbM site (all red), but this spring I also ordered and received a replacement set for when the strings get too old for my taste, and it has the white package with red inserts and also a different ref. no. (4CB640R). This did have me worried (*), but the rest of the info on the package matches what I wanted - 81cm scale length, "contrabass 4 string guitar" in both English and French (instead of "bass guitar" on the older pack). The order page on the site I got them from still has an image of the red package, only blurred (same thing for the 86cm set, except it already has the 4CB... product number). I haven't opened the new set yet but there are 4 envelopes in the plastic packet.

TL;DR (I do tend to get carried away, eh):
-there should have been a change in packaging graphics but also model numbers, so the 4CB640RL is what you'll probably get if you order, but (if I'm right) it corresponds to the older 660RL product;
-no idea whether there are differences in the strings themselves between old and new;
-again, calling the vendor is a good idea. I'm starting to feel responsible and even a little shilly, and I don't want to.

(*since "640R" is the number for the 650mm set - speaking of which, the 650R is the number for the 750mm set! Are the Savarez guys effing with me? Couldn't they just use the scale length for the model numbers? :/)
