There's a venue in East Nash that's pretty crappy in every way - seats about 20 comfortably, stage is cramped, load and parking are terrible, and the owners are douchebags, most of the backline gear is just passably okay, generally just a 2/10 venue for me. But for whatever reason they have an SVT-CL + 410 for the bass backline. Whooda thunk...

Not my ideal amp by any means, but it IS great to show up with a decent amp ready to go, whatever it may be. I've played a could gigs where amps and cabs like that were supplied, and they worked just fine for my purposes at the time.

Ah my favourite rig!
Just one tweak for me would be changing out the 810E for an NV610.
But man, tubes warmed up and waiting sets the stage for 3 to 4 hour jam session!!!

Back in 1966-67 the band I was in had a regular Fri & Sat gig at a club in Yorkville (Toronto's village). We had a roadie team that drove the equipment to our all our gigs and loaded it all in and set it up. That included a Lowry organ and a full size Leslie. My friend, a big sized football player carried the Leslie in himself. These guys did it for free (well, a few non-prescription meds). That was special and a luxury I'll never forget. I just arrived, changed into my suit and tuned my bass to the organ and away we went.

Twenty plus years ago ,walked into a rehearsal warehouse and the bass backline was a wall of 20 of the best bass cabs money could buy and two six foot racks filled with bass amps . I thought they belonged to the company...........it belonged to one of the bassist auditioning .

Thanks. Yeah that’s my US 4464. My favorite P style I’ve owned.

This is a great venue because it’s a true music room. And they actually treat you the right way- full dinner, spacious green room, dressing rooms, a server.

If I showed up at a gig and that was there, I'd unplug it, haul my rig in and put it in front of it. Not a fan of Ampeg. I'll take my mesa over it any day.
