Adam Sandler's finest work? Discuss. Also, the bit part actors are all dire. Especially in the first 20-30 minutes or so.
I think it's Sandler's funniest as far as purely silly movies go. His all around finest work though is Paul Thomas Anderson's Punch-Drunk Love hands down. Great flick. brad cook
But does Punch drunk love have the line? 'Why didn't you just go home? That's your home! Are you too good for your home? Answer me! Suck my white ass ball!' If it does have that particular line in it I'll be pleasantly surprised.
dude, what? watch out for the aligator. i don't know anyone who dislikes this film. it is quality stuff, i think. oddly enough, i have seen more than one person proclaim their approval of little nicky. i will not tolerate this manner of tomfoolery.
I wish Sandler would go back to making movies like happy gilmore... enough of this "50 first dates" crap Sandler is at his best screaming and being absurd... like in billy madison.
Indeed, exactly what I thought when I read the first page. Punch-Drunk Love shows that Sandler is also an incredible serious actor, while remaining sarcastically funny in his own way.
"Stay out of my way, or you'll pay. Listen to what I say." "Yeah, why don't I go eat some hay. I can make things out of clay, or lay by the bay, I just may. Whaddya say?" "What's this about you breaking a rake and throwing it in the woods?" "I didn't *break* it, I was merely testing its durability, and I *placed* it in the woods cause it's made of wood and I wanted it to be near its family."
.........No! 'What's going on here?' 'I was just looking for the rest of this bottle, there's some, and there's another bit-' 'Why don't you just put it down?' 'Yeah I know.'
