Hi!

Unlike many of you here, I am not a bass or a guitar player at all. My interest in this forum is purely family-based and I am hoping to be able to keep an eye on the classifieds! My uncle Phil (he was actually probably my second cousin due to the age-gap, but we grew up knowing him and referring to him as Uncle Phil) is well known in the guitar world as the maker of the Ex Factor Bass, and I am really trying to get my hands on one just because I think it would be really cool to have one in the family. As far as I am aware, no one in my direct family owns one anymore. My dad is a guitar player and I just think he would be proud to know we have one in the family.

I am also excited to learn more about my family history and my uncle's career/legacy in the music world. Thank you for having me here

Not easy. There are no wires to swap and the terminals are soldered directly to the circuit board. Theoretically you could remove the pot assembly and add wires, but it wouldn't be pretty.
