Hi, I've seen posts about someone using a rifle case for their Yamaha vs. the soft case. Has anyone come up with such a thing? Maybe even a pelican case or equiv, but a rifle case is probably more economical. Show me what you've got!

Sportube Series 3 definitely works. I Bought my SLB300 in Japan and used the Sportube to get it back to Australia in check in baggage. Bass arrived safely.Piping up to add that, by my measurements at least, the Sportube Series 3 appears to fit the soft case of the SLB 300, with the instrument within.
I think I’ll pull the trigger and buy one. I have some international travel coming up, and I need a solution. I’ll post pictures if/when I receive the case.
Thank you for that confirmation! Order placed. Still planning on posting pictures, etc.Sportube Series 3 definitely works. I Bought my SLB300 in Japan and used the Sportube to get it back to Australia in check in baggage. Bass arrived safely.
Also bought the sportube lock which works perfectly with the locking design.
Just curious, but did you ever get the Sportube 3? How did it work?Thank you for that confirmation! Order placed. Still planning on posting pictures, etc.

I took delivery of the Sportube, but it arrived so poorly packaged it had been badly scratched up in transit. I didn’t want to pay new prices for what was effectively a used product, so I returned it.I'm curious as well...
