Hard chopping tremolo

Hey now!

I'm looking to tap into the immense wealth of knowledge here...While I'm not new to the world of effects,I am new to tremelo...I've been trying to get my synth/fuzz sound dialed in for a while now and have bought, sold, and kept a ton of different fuzzes, synth pedals, envelopes and filters...I basically have a sound I really like with my DigiTech bsw into one of my fuzzes, wheather it be my hovercraft ionostrofear, boosted green Russian muff clone, harmonic percolater clone, etc. But now I need/want an lfo to modulate my signal...I'm looking for a super hard chopping trem. Basically want to cut the signal off,at points, but not looking for a stutter pedal. I'd go as high as 200$. But less is better. Any help is appreciated! Thanks

I have the EQD Hummingbird and it's an amazing hard chopping tremolo. Between the 3 speed settings and the depth control you can go from nice and subtle to full on helicopter style chop and even a quasi ring mod at extreme speed settings. I haven't used the expression output yet but it adds a nice feature to control speed too. I do sometimes wish for a tap tempo and subdivisions though for which I think the Source Audio Vertigo would be nice. I do highly recommend the Hummingbird though and you can find them for a really nice price on the used market at times too. I got mine for $100 shipped on Reverb!

Gig FX Chopper is a unique one, has a built in expression pedal that can control the rate of the effects. It's also stereo and can do cool panning and combo effects!

Cusack Tap-A-Whirl does a good job too, with a ton of waveforms and it will, I think, sync to an LFO. For some reason the Cusack stuff has been showing up on eBay really cheap used, worth checking out.

CoPilot Polypus is another worth checking out. Small footprint, LFO in, usually less than $150

I like my Lightfoot Labs Goatkeeper the best, but they are hard to find and a little pricey

I've owned a few of the previously mentioned pedals as well, a lot of very good suggestions.

Malekko Sneak Attack. Bar none the most tweakable trem with tap tempo. You can adjust the trem shape very exactly. Great pedal
