"Relayer" by yes... hard to memorize! Also anything by Rush....I'm afraid of Victor Wooten, but anything off "Show of Hands" will probably be the epitome of tough for me!

Hardest song you've ever learned

Dexterity and Joy Spring. Those are both "chops" tunes.
But just about as hard - I Remember Clifford and Round Midnight, for getting them to feel right - those two are all about nuance. In the hands of a good soloist, IRC will make people cry. It's not always about how many notes you can play, you know................

So far, Watching The Detectives, hands down. I would of said Freewill by Rush but I never finished learning it, lol.

I generally do not have a problem learning a song unless the bass is buried in the mix and lacks clarity. The songs I have struggled with are those where what was being played couldn't be heard very well.
Hard song I ever "learned" is the guitar solo "Mood for a Day". Hardest songs that I just gave up on (so far) "Cliffs of Dover" and "And Your Bird Can Sing". Song that took me the longest to learn (bass), either "Spirit of the Radio" or one of many Yes songs. Not because they were so hard but so loooooong.
Pride & Joy - SRV. Learning Tommy Shannon's walking lines note-for-note was nigh impossible! Playing the open strings underneath the walking makes it a challenge to play!
The ' simplest " ones are the hardest , try nailing " Never thought Id see the Day " by Sade . paul S Denman does a perfect job at keeping it accurate with so much space between the notes . I also enjoy Heathrow and Dune Tune by level 42
I had a hell of a time playing and singing backups on 'The Mayor Of Simpleton' by XTC. The basslines are like chasing rabbits.
