harke problem

You mean hartke? What model is the head? I've run a 4X10 & 1x15 off of my old 3500 and had great results. More info needed here OP.

my humbucker is too hot for the head and its hard to get a nice sound from it, itdoes mesh really well but theres too much treble, and when i cut it there isn't enough. the thresh hold is too thin, same with the low end

GK backlinine 600. Awesome 300 watt head.

Hey Joe, I have that head and my Sterling and Spector clip the preamp pretty bad unless I use the active pad button. What kind of bass are you running into yours? Thats the main reason I'm in the market for a new head. I feel like the active pad muffles the overall tone even after adjusting the preamp gain back up to where the volume is comparable.

I'm using a stingray. Running it at 8 ohms and 180 watts I was sometimes pushing it pretty hard too, but I just got myself a bergantino 6/10 4 ohm cab that I haven't gigged with yet. Perhaps I should keep my mouth shut till I do :) . In the house it's sounding freaking massive though. And I've been driving a Harke 1X15 with it at a place I'm rehearsing without any problems. Have you seen this? Goes out to the OP alos... http://www.talkbass.com/forum/showthread.php?t=503371 :) .
