Harley riders?

I'm not a rider, and have never paid much attention to motorcycles. Lately, however, they've been intriguing me. Must be a full-fledged mid life crisis in the making.

I spent my lunch hour yesterday at the local Harley Davidson dealer - big mistake. I may have to knock off a 7-11 or two for the cost of a Fat Boy.

Just what I need, another hobby. Any hog riders here?

As an ex-Hog rider (still recovering from a divorce) let me tell you that once you get bit by the motorcycle bug there aint no going back!

I had a 1999 Road King Classic. My God I loved that bike! Very dependable, plenty of power, very comfortable ride and looked good!

Here's a pick of the bike on a road trip coming back from Boise last year.

I am hoping by next year I can get another bike. Not necessarily a Harley but maybe.

That Catfish joke has been around forever and is one of the standard stage jokes from my last band. It works with everything

I'm not particularly fond of Harleys personally. I'm a Kawasaki guy myself.

My personal Kawasaki looks nothing like that, but isn't that pretty?

I totally agree.

I took the course. The same day I passed it I recieved my certificate. On the very next business day I took it to my local DMV, paid the fee and they handed me my license. No test of any kind since I passed the course.

Plus you get a discount on your insurance for taking the course.

Even if you know how to ride it is an excellent course. I have been riding dirt bikes since I was a kid and by taking this course I learned a few things about street riding that really saved my hiney once or twice!

We're lucky here in IL - the state offers free courses through the state college extentions. I'm also considering doing the Rider's Edge program through H-D.

I don't see myself buying a bike anytime soon, so there's no rush...
