Personally, I think if you want overall volume then go with a 115. You'll get a ton of sub harmonic low end as well as mids and highs that will not only cut through but rumble as well. a 210 or 410 will add some character and crispness to it.

Yep, I agree. I run a 1x15 under a 2x10 with my HA5500. It is enough for nearly every place I have played.

I've always had good experiences with Hartke gear, even got a good result from a Transporter 410 with my now-departed Ashdown ABM 500, and that was without PA support.

A few months ago, I was in Mansons in Exeter and spotted this secondhand PRO 1800 cabinet for £200. I dabble with ska/reggae, and decided that this would be a good addition to my rig. Bought.

Since then I've paired it with the Peavey 210 (it was cheap) to provide the mids/highs that the 18" can't do, and run the lot with the Peavey MK6 XP head at 2 ohms. Mega happy with my rig now, it will get scary loud and can't have cost more than £400 altogether.

In the past I've owned a VX215 cab and a practice combo by Hartke, and lately I wanted to try the new Hydrive series....Well, I got my 5210c combo a couple of weeks ago and it's exactly what I've hoped for :) Very smooth even tone. Eventually I'd want to get the hx115 cab as an extension to get my 500 watts worth!!!

Could I get a number?

I own an A100 and it's just enough for me now but maybe later this year I will need to upgrade my rig because of an outdoors gig dated for June. I'm planning on getting a a 5210C or a 5410C or maybe a HX410 cab and the LH 500. Should I get one of these combos that come with the LH500 head and maybe an extension of a 115 cab in a long term future, or the other option of the HX410 cab and the LH500 or should I get an LH1000 if I want to upgrade to another 410 extension? The 500 watts output of the LH500 should be enough to handle configs. of 410 + 115, 410 + 410? Do I need the 1000 watts output of the LH1000 to handle these configs.?
I don't know if I made myself clear... Hope I can get some help from you guys.

You can't really go wrong with any of those configurations. I have a 5210C + HyDrive 115 cab. I haven't gone above 5 on the volume knob on any gig yet.

PS I found a Hartke Transient Attack 2x10 cab today for 100 EUR. :hyper::hyper:

Here are some vid clips from a youth camp my wife did last summer. I'm using my LH1000 into an ancient Transporter 210. I'm not sure how old it is, but it's been around the block and keeps rocking. It's bullet proof. It really is a great sounding cab that I picked up for stupid cheap years ago. I was using that cab due to some size restrictions on our travel arrangements. Anyways, the mix on the vid is the DI straight out of my LH1000 to the board.

On another note, I should have a new HX410 on order today....possibly (2) HX410s if I'm feeling really froggy. =)

Man! Your wife can sing (and plays guitar)! And with all respect... she's beautiful. You are a lucky bassman! :bassist:

The combo on the right was the previous amp I played with, but one of the speakers busted. It's still fully functional (minus the one speaker), and once we get it repaired, we wanted to try to split the signal into both amps (with varied effects along the way).

I tend to play it without the EQ though, since I got a VT Bass on my board which is just perfect for me. The cabs are epic though, I just love the combination!
