Hartke KB15 Combo

That is the different. If I need KB15 to extent cab for full 500 watts run either I go with HD508 or separate amp head + cab.

But, you can order the 4 ohm 12/15 hydrive driver from Hartke to make you KB run full watts. Does it worthy ？Depand to owner.

I only pointed out that
1) the word "peak" is in the specifications of both manuals, the manual for the KB and the manual for the HD series: it's 500W peak, 250" RMS; and
2), that you can use an external cabinet with the Hydrives only if you unplug the internal speaker, or if you do the weird daisy chain thing (combo head -> external cab -> combo speaker). Because there is only one speaker-out on the head section of the KB combos, and it's outside the box.

I had a KB15 several years ago that I liked. I currently use the HD500 which is essentially the same amp with two 10s. Hartke is my favorite amp.

Thanks for explanation, I make a mistake.
If you can try both KB15 vs HD508 at 1 o'clock volume (can't go higher since test at GC )you will notice more headroom , louder, firmy and meatier tone on HD508. Could be cab size and driver combination thing ？

I sold my KB15 and get the Tech21 VT 200 combo and VT500+410. Because I prefer little flexible tone amp.

There can be a number of reasons. Four voicecoils instead of one can be the reason for the perceived more headroom of the 4x8 (the 15 may subtly compress at the same volume settings); the box, the voicing of the 8-inch driver and the coupling of four of them might have been designed to give them more bassiness, compared to the fifteen; even the fact that the front panel (baffle) is larger than that of the KB15 causes the low-mid peak ("baffle step") to be located lower. (This is one of the reasons why an 8x10 sounds meatier than a 2x10 loaded with the exact same drivers.)
