Double Bass hartke kickback 12

I've played through one of the earlier ones with the 1/2 aluminum 1/2 paper cones, with a Realist (Copper Foil) pickup, it had, in a word, a very nasal, wrong kind of midrange voicing. It would be my last choice for a DB amp.

I agree with Ric.

I played through one because a big band I played with owned it, for a year or so. Couldn't say exactly why, but I never liked it. However, I never took time to experiment with the eq or Shape knobs. I suppose you could find something usable with time.

IME, it just isn't voiced right for a Double Bass. Personally, I think you could change the tone settings all night and it still wouldn't come out sounding pleasing. Just my opinion. Sometimes all you get from lemons is lemonade.
