Hartke question

Listen, you don't want 1000w going to a 410. Sure way to blow it up. If it takes 500w without farting out, you'll be doing quite well and above the norm. And you're too dang loud anyway...you kids need to turn those damn amps down!

Agree with what has been said; I have a Hydrive 410 that I push with about 350W and it gets loud enough to wake the dead. 500W should provide a tonnage of spare headroom.

The question is: What's your actual goal? Do you actually need more volume, or are you just wanting to have the full 1000W available from your amp on principal?

Hydrive 410 is the best cabinet I have ever owned. That said, be mindful of what you are throwing at it ( this goes for all cabs really..) . Yes it says rated at 1000 watts. But, listen close eh? I run a 100 watt tube amp and, with tweeter turned off, ' pump it'. No problems. That said, I am always listening if the cab is being stressed.

As long as you don't crank the bass knob and keep the volume knob at a reasonable setting you'll probably be fine running it in bridge mode. Though if you can, get a matching cab. I promise you won't regret having both of them. You'll get more volume, the amp wont' have to work as hard and there'll be less chance of blowing a driver.
