Hartke Vaccaro bass?

Browsing through craigslist and I found a guy with a hartke 5 string vaccaro bass.

A quick google gave me a little info, mainly how they are made with metal necks.

Anyone own one of these things or have more information on them?

I just played one for the first time a couple of months ago. I actually played Larry's prototype 4 string. It's a very nice bass. The back of the neck is wood, and the only place you see the aluminum is the headstock.

The aluminum is between the neck shaft and the fingerboard. Larry said the neck is fully adjustable.
