Has Ampeg made a BAD bass amp

I still don't understand why people talk of Ampeg like it is a entity of itself? It is not like G-K , Peavey or Carvin that has always had the same owners or designers?

Exactly. The designing philosphies and quality standards have shifted like crazy over the years.

I agree with others for the B2R, B2RE, SVT350, SVT450H heads. They should be removed from the product line. I owned the B2R, never again!
I saw GC near me was selling a used B2R for $400. Yikes! Still TOO MUCH.

I wouldn't call it "bad," but my SVT-350 was not very "loud" when compared to similar amps.
