I don't think I have ever been without at least one Fender. Right now I have a mix of Fenders and non-Fenders, but if I only had one bass, it would probably be a Fender P-bass.

I had a great '65 Jazz bass which I should've kept. Also a '63 P bass. But Fenders are real inconsistent. And almost every one I've ever played had dead spots on the neck. (B,C,C# on the G string.)
