Has anyone played Peavey Void or Tragic?

Couldn't find any info about these here on TB, only people talking about how they dislike the headstock. Looking for some firsthand feedback. Has the features I want (active pups and eq, neck-thru for around 500). I like to body style, and yes, even the headstock has kinda grown on me.

Anyone played on of these? Can't find any local stores with one in stock. Whats the tone like? (compare to another bass if possible). Neck dive an issue? Really any info would be appreciated.

I hadn't even heard of these until I saw this thread. They look alright, I could see how that headstock could grow on you. It's not something I would personally play, but I don't hate it.

It looks like the back strap peg is high enough on the body to eliminate neck dive and the hardware looks pretty decent. Where are these made?

I believe china. When I first saw it I thought it was a dean. After about an hour of looking i realized what it actually was. They go for about $499. That price for a neck thru with the same pickups as the Peavey Cirrus is not a bad price. I like the body how its kindof a shrunken down thunderbird and the headstock grew on me like you said. Im gonna see if any of the stores around me have one. If it plays nice its coming home with me. Hope I can find it in white.

I have a black one of these with dr green strings. I got it on eBay from The Bass Place for 199.00. There is a red one still left, but it looks like they raised the price to 299.00. For the money it was worth it, obviously not as nice as my American peaveys but the 18v pre and pickups sound good. They are on the heavy side.

I first tried some stainless Warwick coated strings on this bass, the sound was way bright for my taste. Just put the dr coated strings on a couple of days ago, way better! Will have to try drop d. Haven't played it much.
