Sounds like a waste of money to me. Most, if not all of that information is freely available on forums such as this, or elsewhere on the net. There's nothing mystical about how to wire up a true bypass box or how to replace resistors with potentiometers!!! 
It also seems limited in it's scope and quite specific - ie; if you don't have the pedals they use as examples (or copies or descendants thereof) then the info will be next to useless.

Looks like someone trying to capitalize on the DIY FX scene. You're better off spending $35 bucks on some tools,...or a kit from BYOC or GGG and gleaning information from forums (as niftydog pointed out).
what's a good thread. I want to learn everything. Why this does this and because it does this you can modify it by doing/getting this. I am more than interested in building pedals. I'm a big DIY guy and I've got a huge background and degree in art. So, painting and designing the look would be a plus. In fact, im actually wanting to do wooden pedals. Still keeping the pcb board in a smaller metal enclosure.
BYOC and GGG both have DIY forums,...although I've never been on them.

It is a nearly bottomless topic - I've been studying/working in electronics for ten years now and there's no end in sight!
If you're serious about learning electronics then it's worth getting some text books and working through them. Learning off the internet is fine but it really is no substitute for structured learning of some sort.
A DS-1, SD-1, Rat, Big Muff, and Blues Driver. I am going to do the bass mod for the SD-1 soon, and possibly the mod for the ODB-3.
All of this was from the help of the book? Did you built it to the t or change something here and there? I want to start of by doing a DIY of a stomp box already in production and just change a thing here and there. Make sure i can get the first things right then I can start doing my own thing.
I've seen those before. He does also have a guide for designing your own pedals, which seems like it would be more useful. But thats probably online too. BTW, If you sign up for his mailing list and buy the books direct from his site you get them at a huge discount (50% IIRC)

I somehow got on that guy's mailing list and while I guess he knows what he's doing, his own clones seem rather expensive for what they are. I'd half-considered getting his book (since he claims to be able to mod a Boss ODB-3) but $35 - edit, or even $14.95 - is bit more than I wanted to spend on a one-shot instruction sheet for a pedal I'd just as soon sell.
