Has my MiM Jazz Bass got a blend knob?

I've been doing some research on here and it seems everybody is saying Fender have never done volume/blend/tone on passive basses.
I'm finding when I turn down my (neck) volume knob, then I'm getting no signal from the bass at all, even with the bridge knob all the way up. But when the neck volume is up and I move the bridge knob then I do get a significant change in sound, which would suggest that its not just a problem with the wiring...what is up with this?
My jazz is a 60th anniversary MiM lefty, incase that changes anything..and I bought it brand new.

Turn up the "neck" volume and lightly tap the poles of each pickup with a small screwdriver or Allen key while you "sweep" the centre control from left to right. If the tapping sound from your amp pans from one pickup to the other as you move the centre control you have a blend pot.

I think a blend pot is much more useful than a tone control myself. in fact I don't have a tone control on my (lefty) bass.

Take the control plate off. If the suspected blend control is a dual gang pot then you've got yourself a blend control.

Does your bass have the S-1 switch?

It's supposed to be volume/volume/tone.

If you have the S-1 switch (the first volume knob) see if it's in series. It's a push/push switch. If they are in series, switch them into parallel and see if the volume knobs work as they should.
