). I played bass in the '80s, primarily in my little local band scene, and only walked into the local music store when I needed new strings. I had barely played since then when I joined TB, so I had never heard of most of the basses and amps that are available these days, never mind their designs and options. But while TB has probably stoked my gearlust to a greater degree than is healthy, I'm absolutely better off owning and using some of the wonderful instruments, amp and cabs I learned about here.
