I personally find myself more open to other styles, whereas before, I didn't play or listen to much outside of jazz.

Same here. I've barely touched my bass in 5 months. Really don't have live music on my brain right now. I'm even contemplating calling it a day!Unfortunately, it's made me musically lazy. Nothing new I NEED to learn, so practice and personal jamming are very minimal right now.

LOL me too. I once could play the head every gig with my jazz group but I can barely get to the fourth measure without clams. A good thing to have under your fingers.I finally hunkered down and memorized Donna Lee... Can't play it anywhere near as fast as Jaco, bit I can get up to around 160bpms right now.![]()
