Why only rosewood board? Just pulled the trigger on one the other day and can't wait to get it, I would be even more excited if it had a maple one piece neck.

Has there ever been a maple bongo?

by that reasoning they never should have went through with the bongo.
just kidding, they are actually starting to grow on me. kind of like a tumor.

Most companies are allergic to making basses with 24 frets let alone making a maple-fingerboard equipped 24 fret bass.
Try MTD or Sadowsky if you can afford it or fender (don't try the latter,they'll send you a nice letter saying no)

My Bongo 4 HHP seemed like a good idea at the time, but in the end seemed a little too gimmicky and plastic for me. Too many knobs and whistles but not enough of a voice of its own. I guess I have a simple brain. Well, to each their own.
