Has this ever happened to you? Weird E string warble.

You know a new string is going to stretch, right? So why do you “set a witness point” on a new string? I’ve been playing bass since 1967 and have never once… never mind.

My guess is that you crimped the core and wrap and they weren’t able to stretch evenly at first.
