Hate my job

I'll join the club. I do stock at a chain grocery store. I work about 40 hours a week, give or take, almost always spread over six days rather than five (throw in a couple 4-hour days). Since I nearly always work till 10:30pm, my evening freetime is nonexistant, pushed to the late-night hours. Many of my friends are rather nocturnal; my girlfriend, however, is not.

I'm on the lookout for another job, preferably one that is full-time, provides benefits , and maybe even puts that degree I spent four years getting to better use than "take crap out of the big freezer and put it into the small freezers."

That said, I think Tim and Mike win...however, you both make more money than me

oh and i just remembered another great job. every morning at St. James' Gate in Dublin Ireland there are a group of people whos job it is to taste the guinness produced and decide whether the quality is up to standars. Now thats a good job(shame it guinness though).

I've never had it that bad, but I know how much it can suck going to a job you totally despise simply because there are no other options available at the moment.

My last job sucked.
I thought I had food poisoning at work one week.
Turns out the chest pains, breathing problems etc were anxiety attacks from being there. It was like being on death row - you know you're time is coming and there's nothing you can do about it...

Dallas traffic!

I'm 22 and I have gray hair already. I kid you not.
The stress was unbearable. During a 75 minute commute (20 highway miles, 5 city) I only get to go over 60 for about 5 of those miles. The rest is stop and go, usually averaging 25mph.
It's the worst feeling in the world to me because you're helpless - you cannot do anything to get out of there. You cannot control the speed or flow and there are no alternate routes.
Oh and what's that commute like on weekends or during the middle of the day with less traffic? About 30 minutes.



Anyway, you don't need to go through that crap your dealing with. Especially for that wage. That's abuse.
If you ever need a fake reference on your resume, or help relocating/finding a job in north texas, let me know.
