Have you seen Karma happen?

I hate to have to ask, but what does P&W stand for? I Googled it, but all I got was accounting stuff... in that case, are you saying that businesspeople can't believe in karma?

Oddly enough, I was just talking about karma the other day--our university's 3:15pm shuttle was full and didn't pick us up, so I did what I used to do and offered to give people a ride if they were going to the same building as me. (I used to have a "Commuter" parking pass, meaning I could park in any of the garages anywhere on campus, so I would offer to give people rides at any time of the day. Now I have a "Resident" pass, so I can only do that after 3pm, but since it was 3:15, I offered.)

One of the people I gave a ride to said "thank you so much! I'm sure you've built up some good karma now!" I don't believe in karma (I just believe in doing good and not expecting any reward for it, from "the Universe" or anyone else), but I just nodded and said "thanks, I hope you're right."

That was yesterday. Today, I just found out that a project I would have had to skip lunch to finish by its original due date, midnight tonight, was postponed until tomorrow, where I'll have all day to do it.

Karma? Good luck? Who knows, and who cares--I'm happy about it! :D

That's ok. If it's any consolation, I often gaze into the night sky, contemplating the wonder of the universe, awestruck at the vast cosmos stretched out before me...and I think 'are tastybasslines bass lines really that tasty?'

No worries my friends. I really had to hold back on this one myself. I had "aren't you getting a little personal?" typed out but I couldn't hit the submit button. Yes, I have a dirty mind too and I struggle not to say a lot of things that come to me.
I hope I didn't come accross like I was offended on the other thread. Gecko is a good guy and a real artist and I know he meant no harm. That one was a really tough call for me.

It's always strange to see easygoing people actually get bothered by something, which is probably why it was strange how you reacted to it. Nothing wrong with it. I've had a few cases of people being bothered by something you would never have guessed in real life, and it is always puzzling.

I do appreciate the respect most of us have for each other here. I have my own personal boundaries but no one is obliged to honor them.
I have my reasons for some things. I am far from a perfect man or a perfect husband and there are some places that are not wise for me to go. I also know my wife would not have liked that chop. I never want to do anything behind her back i have already made that mistake. I told her about it after I had spoken up about it.
Whatever others choose to do here is their business. I can participate or leave it alone.
Thanks for putting up with me and my issues.

Yes I am, I hide it well though. There are countless times when my finger has hovered over the submit button and I thought better of it. Also lots of posts that I have deleted.
